Essential Questions: | - What are the key messages from STA for 2025 assessment and moderation?
- How will schools prepare for the end of key stage assessments?
- What does a good collection of evidence look like?
- What does the external moderation process look like this year?

Why is this course relevant or important? | - This course will help all Y6 teachers prepare for the end of KS2 assessment.
- There will be key messages from STA to explore which will be relevant for all Year 6 teachers.
- It will also be useful to assessment leads.

This course will include: | - An overview of the writing assessment framework in light of STA messages
- Using the writing exemplifications
- Unpicking the differences between Expected Standard and Greater Depth
- Strategies to develop key writing skills
- An understanding of ‘particular weaknesses’
- An overview of what to expect if your school is selected for moderation.

You will take away from the course: | - A better understanding of secure writing assessment at the end of KS2
|
You will need to bring | - The KS2 Teacher Assessment Framework
- The writing exemplification for WTS, EXS and GDS
