Manor Green Inclusion Event
Manor Green Inclusion Event; Friday 27th June 2025
In 2022 Manor Green School held a large event on Cox Green Schools field to promote inclusion.
This year we would like to bring schools together across the community. The event will be run as a Duke of Edinburgh event, celebrating that disabled children are teaching their mainstream counterparts a new skill in using Makaton sign language
Manor Green and Cox Green School would like to invite you to attend a celebration of how we are standing together as a community to raise inclusive awareness. The event will take place on Friday 27th June from 10am-12 on Cox Green field. We are inviting schools to send a cohort of students to join us in the use of Makaton, dancing to Take That’s ‘Shine’.
Manor Green staff will visit your school upon request to teach this to your students and accompanying staff.
We are inviting the press and want to promote this across social media so we would ask that all students who participate have photo permissions. This includes the BBC and the Maidenhead Advertiser.
To enable us to complete the risk assessment please could you contact charlotte.deer@manorgreenschool.co.uk and let us know if you will be attending, how many students and staff you will be bringing, if you will be sending a mini bus and if you would like us to visit your school to teach the song.
Please respond to this invitation by Monday 17th March 2025 as this will allow us sufficient time to arrange your schools visit.
