The Department for Education has committed to updating the Use of reasonable force in schools guidance and commencing legislation which mandates schools to record and report each significant incident where force is used.

We have launched a consultation on revisions to the guidance which runs from Tuesday 4 February 2025 until Tuesday 29 April 2025 and encourage you to provide feedback.
