Ofsted News about Outstanding Schools

Their summary of inspections this term shows some changes in grades issued by Ofsted, with 83% judged outstanding or good. Around half of previously outstanding schools are no longer judged as outstanding. https://schoolsweek.co.uk/ri-schools-more-likely-to-be-upgraded-post-pandemic-ofsted-study-suggests/

More detailed analysis shows that there is a marked difference between outstanding schools subject to full inspection vs those having short inspection: 75% of the former no longer outstanding; 3% of the latter. Only 1 in 8 previously outstanding primaries have been judged to still be outstanding. https://www.educationuncovered.co.uk/news/153881/nearly-nine-out-of-10-formerly-ofstedoutstanding-primary-schools-most-of-them-in-the-local-authority-sector-downgraded-by-the-inspectorate-this-term.thtml
