Prince's Trust- upcoming Thames Valley Programmes

Upcoming Prince’s Trust programmes in the Thames Valley area. Please find the details below and posters attached and do not hesitate to contact the local team on SouthEast@princes-trust.org.uk if you have any further questions.

Enterprise- 18-30s (online)

 

Got a business idea? Join our 4-day online Explore Enterprise training course and upon completion, get a year’s Business mentor support to help grow and develop your business idea, and launch as a Prince’s Trust Supported Business. Small grant funding is available to support you to test trade your business idea, and we will support you to explore a Business loan.

Get Into Retail with M&S- 16-30s (face to face)

 

Our Marks and Start programme is back! This 4-week course for unemployed young people is made up with a mixture of training sessions and work experience at Reading, Newbury and Bracknell M&S stores. Travel will be reimbursed and participating will not affect your benefits. Paid roles (16 hours a week, 3 month contracts) are available for participants who successfully complete the programme and interview.

Get Started with Games Design- 16-30s (online)

 

Working with Shapeways.io, this 5-day online programme for those not in education or employment will introduce you to the world of Games Design. You will design and pitch your own game, working alongside industry professionals and giving you the chance to win IT hardware from HP! You will also receive 1:1 support to help you reflect on your skills, and set and achieve goals. Participants will also receive up to 6 months mentor support to help support them into a positive outcome. Participants will need access to a PC or laptop, so please chat to us if this is not possible.

Get Started with Health and Wellbeing- 16-30s (face to face)

 

Working with the Healthy Living Centre in Aylesbury, this 5-day in-person programme is designed to boost your wellbeing, confidence and motivation. As a group of up to 12, the participants will explore ways of supporting their health and wellbeing, whilst receiving 1:1 support to help them to look at skills reflections setting and achieving goals. This programme suitable for young people who are not in training, education or employment and looking for support in working out their next steps. Participants will also receive up to 6 months mentor support to help support them into a positive outcome. Travel will be reimbursed for attendees.

Development Awards- 16-25s (online)

 

Unemployed with a financial barrier to a training, education or employment outcome? Our cash grants of up to £500 could help a young person achieve their goals! Contact us to request an assessment with our Development Award Lead who will chat to the young person about their goals, the financial barriers they are facing, and look at how the Trust can help. Applications can take up to 8 weeks and the average Award given is £160.

  

Get Started as an NHS 111 Health Advisor- 18-30s (online)

 

South Central Ambulance Service are searching for the next generation of NHS 111 Health Advisors and they're collaborating with The Prince's Trust to find them! This 3-day online Ready to Work programme will help the participants prepare for the South Central Ambulance Service’s recruitment process; we will guide them through the journey from beginning to end, with CV workshops, presentations from SCAS and sessions designed to help the participants up-skill and ace a virtual interview! As part of the process, the participants will be able to access to bursary funding to support their next steps and receive 6 months’ support from the Prince’s Trust to support with steps into employment, education, training, or self-employment. Roles are available in Bicester, Winchester and Milton Keynes today!.
