Information for all education settings: Education Secretary launches new generative AI safety standards for education

The Education Secretary launched updated Generative AI Product Safety Standards.

These standards are intended to ensure AI products for education are safe by design and may also help education settings make decisions about which AI tools to use. The new standards include measures to protect children’s mental health and emotional development and ensure AI supports genuine learning rather than replacing it.
