Best Start Family Hub service officially launched 

The Best Start Family Hubs form a key strand of the government's national strategy ‘Giving every child the best start in life’.  Across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead this has involved the creation of 'one-stop shops' for family support services such as health, SEND, and parenting.  These services will be delivered from current Family Hubs placed across the borough and delivered by an experienced team who can help parents find the right support both within the hub and elsewhere to meet their needs. This support could include:

• Parenting guidance and promoting a child’s learning at home
• Additional support and guidance for children with additional needs
• Stay and Play sessions
• Community Events
• ‘Healthy Babies’ services delivered by the Health Visiting team

If you have concerns about a child in your setting, the team invites you to contact them for a discussion prior to making a referral if you prefer.

Anyone can make a referral if they have concerns about a child in their setting.  You can either complete the online referral form or send us an email if you want a discussion before making the referral.

Note: Families with wider needs would still need to be referred through the usual Early Help referral process, and the team can help you decide the best approach.
