Short Break Services

Achieving for Children is the children’s service provider for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. We are planning to commission a short break service for disabled children and young people aged 8-17.

We are contacting you to identify potential providers who might be interested in running the new service and are interested in receiving further communication and updates.

Hopefully you will already have seen our first announcement, which set out some initial information on the intended programme. We are now delighted to release our specifications for the intended service.

Draft specifications

The specification document sets out some more detailed information of the proposed service such as the budget available, monitoring requirements and more.

Please view the draft specification document here.

This is not the final document, so if you identify any areas or barriers to provision you feel could be addressed, please let us know so we can ensure the intended specification can work for you as well as us.

What's next?

We will spend the next couple of months honing the specification before finalising the tender.

Shortly, we will send you more guidance on the tendering process and the intended timeline so that you can be fully prepared when we open for applications.

For now, the only action for you to take is to contact: laurie.davidson@achievingforchildren.org.uk for an informal conversation, more information or to confirm your interest in how your provision may be able to provide short break care in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
