Leadership of Inclusion Quality Mark Award
The Leadership of Inclusion Quality Mark Award has been created by the Local Authority in collaboration with local Headteachers and SENCos. It provides schools with the opportunity to recognise and celebrate their inclusive practice (at no cost to the school). The Award and accreditation process focuses on the “Leadership of Inclusion” at all levels within the school and covers, amongst other things, the school’s ethos, the effectiveness of Quality First Teaching and the role of the Governors in monitoring the school's SEND provision. In order to achieve the award the voice of children and young people and their families is always considered.
If you feel your school is not ready to achieve the Award, please consider using the SEND review process for support in developing further.
